The optimal image formats to achieve the best results
Do you usually think about image format or image quality before you run your ads?
In this blog post we go through the importance of having the right image format when you advertise and why it is so important that the image quality is high.
“A picture says more than a thousand words”, does it sound familiar? This is because it is true! When you advertise on e.g. Facebook it is said that images with less than 20% text give a better result. Just think about your own behaviour and how fast you are scrolling in feeds or if you read news.
Try to keep the messages as short as possible and what you do not manage to fit in the image, you can always put in the ad text.

Image size for cover image and profile image on Facebook
- Image in the feed: 1200 x 627 px
- Stories: 1080 x 1920 px
Image size for Instagram
- Image in the feed: 1080 x 1080 px (square) or 1080 x 1350 px (portrait)
Image size for Instagram Stories
- Stories: 1080 x 1920 px
- Cover art for highlight: 1080 x 1080 px
Image size for LinkedIn
- Cover image – business: 1536 x 768 px
- Image in the feed: 1200 x 627 px
- Sponsored Post: 1200 x 627
